[Once the sun has come out again, the voice of a teen girl comes on over the network. She's doing her absolute best to sound chipper, but there's a strain in her voice for anybody paying attention.]

Hi! I hope everyone made it through the storm okay. That sure was... intense! I have never been happier to see the sun lol.

[Yes, she does just say lol out loud as a word. Like "lohl."]

Unfortunately the spot I was staying in got flooded, and... I kind of got caught up in the water! I'm okay for now. I got back onto the shore and I've pulled myself as far away from the river as I can so it doesn't pull me back in.

[A pause, but there's still a crackle indicating she's still holding down the button... then a sigh.]

Though... I might need some help. I did get hurt a little. I'll be okay! I've patched myself up as best I can and I am sure I'll get better. I just can't move very well right now. So if anybody is nearby and could at least help me get to somewhere with a roof...

[Another pause. Jade is definitely having some trouble keeping that chipper tone in her voice now, but she's still trying.]

I'm by a river. A little southeast of me and across the river there is a cliff with some buildings on it. If anybody is nearby that would be great! But if not I am sure I will be okay. I have been through worse before!

[The radio clicks off. Then a few seconds later, it's on again.]

Oh- and I'm Jade, by the way! Nice to meet you if I haven't already talked to you.

[ Maddy recognizes that voice. It's the girl who talked to her when she first showed up! Jade was kind to her so Maddy is immediately worried and sympathetic. ]

Hey... I'm probably not the best person for it, but if nobody else is going, I'll come get you. I'm going to the airfield. We can walk together. You can lean on me.

How bad are you hurt? Do you have food and water?

The river is right there, so I think I'm okay on water for now. I also found a little bit of food on my way here. I ate a lot of it during the storm, but I still have a couple things left that can probably keep me alive for a bit. I won't be using that much energy since I'm not moving much anyways.

Um... and I guess I'm hurt kind of bad, but I'll be okay! Really! You don't have to go out of your way or anything.

I don't go out of my way for people. [ She does. ] It's fine. I'd get bored traveling by myself anyway. I'll figure out where I am, and if nobody else is coming, I'll come get you.

How badly are you hurt? We have supplies at the airfield and we've done rescues before. One is still in progress 'cause of the storm, but whatever.

Bad enough that I don't feel confident moving very far on my own, but not so bad that I think I am at a risk of dying.

A rescue would be appreciated, though I'm sorry that I'm making you run another one so soon! I promise I will do my best to help out once I am there.

Don't be sorry, shit like this is bound to happen. With more people coming to the airfield, we'll ten billion percent need help with upkeep, but don't sweat it until you heal up. Do you have any cuts or anything that might get infected?

I have some small cuts and scrapes from the tree and the river, but nothing major or deep. Nothing still bleeding. Though I guess there's always a risk of infection, even with small stuff.

A tree dragged me into the river, so I am sore all over. I think a lot of things are bruised. The main thing is my leg, though - I'm not sure whether it's just sprained badly or if there's a fracture. It's not bent at an odd angle or anything, so I know it's not a major break, but I can't put any weight on it, and its swollen up. I also have some cuts and scrapes, but thankfully none of them are too bad. They've already started to scab over.

Yeah.
I somehow came out of that mess in a relatively better position than I was in before it.
The locals gave me some supplies for helping out with shit during the storm, including a whole tent.
It's a hell of a step up from the scavenged bullshit awning I'd made for myself.

I don't know that anybody's been sent yet, so if you're that close, that would be best! I am currently near a pretty big bend in the river, just a little northwest of the buildings. I will try to stay near an open area so I am easy to find!
