[Once the sun has come out again, the voice of a teen girl comes on over the network. She's doing her absolute best to sound chipper, but there's a strain in her voice for anybody paying attention.]

Hi! I hope everyone made it through the storm okay. That sure was... intense! I have never been happier to see the sun lol.

[Yes, she does just say lol out loud as a word. Like "lohl."]

Unfortunately the spot I was staying in got flooded, and... I kind of got caught up in the water! I'm okay for now. I got back onto the shore and I've pulled myself as far away from the river as I can so it doesn't pull me back in.

[A pause, but there's still a crackle indicating she's still holding down the button... then a sigh.]

Though... I might need some help. I did get hurt a little. I'll be okay! I've patched myself up as best I can and I am sure I'll get better. I just can't move very well right now. So if anybody is nearby and could at least help me get to somewhere with a roof...

[Another pause. Jade is definitely having some trouble keeping that chipper tone in her voice now, but she's still trying.]

I'm by a river. A little southeast of me and across the river there is a cliff with some buildings on it. If anybody is nearby that would be great! But if not I am sure I will be okay. I have been through worse before!

[The radio clicks off. Then a few seconds later, it's on again.]

Oh- and I'm Jade, by the way! Nice to meet you if I haven't already talked to you.

You're the guy in charge at, like, the airfield place, right? [ At least from Maddy's limited network-stalking, it seems like he's in charge. Or close to it. ]

Some people were talking about looking for me. But don't worry about it. I'm not hurt. Jade is. So, like, I'll either be with her or I'll get their by myself or whatever. It's fine.

What? No, I'm just the science guy. There's no hierarchy here. We're a team, you know?

Anyway, there are enough people on this damn rock to run more than one rescue. If you need help, we'll see what we can do.

Cool, thanks. We're pretty far west, but sort of near the south I guess. I think there's more further south, but not this far west...it's a work in progress envisioning the whole island.

Either way, if we can pinpoint where these two are we can get 'em both.

Okay. I'm not in, uh, top shape right now, but I still have a gun. If you find better protection for them, go with that, but I'm better than either of them wandering around alone.

Taking it easy, resting when I have a chance.

[And right now, she needs a whole hell of a lot of rest. She thinks she could haul herself through the jungle on a surge of adrenaline if she needed to, and if she picked someone up they could presumably help her walk while she covered their backs with her gun, but at the moment this is all just theoretical.]

Uh-huh. You know we'll come get you though, right? It's not like we have one rescue guy. There's a bunch of us gathered now.

[ Even Senku himself will go if he has to, he's just useless at carrying injured people. ]

How many is a bunch?

Eight. But K and Shark Guy aren't back yet, so they'd be ten. That's before anyone else we've rescued returns.
