Hi, everyone!
Jet and I made it past all of the rivers on the west/northwest side of the island.
We took a few detours and I've been moving kind of slowly.
So, I think someone could reasonably make the journey in about four days.
We could shorten it if we can put some nice sturdy logs down across the river branches near the hotel.
I think that could really help in making it easier to get down to the base from this side of the island.
No animal attacks! :)
But we might have just got lucky.
We did hear some weird stuff going on the day before yesterday, though.
Did anyone else hear a sort of rhythmic thrumming?
I wasn't sure if it was just over by us.

begging your pardon for being extremely fucking literal, you think they were bumrushing the ocean?

I mean, that is more or less what they did.
But if you're suggesting the crabs themselves were the source of the chanting, then I'll have to disagree on that one.
My guess is the crabs were just the weapon being brandished in that threat.

It's pretty obvious to anyone with eyes.
Who would have guessed crabs were capable of that kind of deforestation?

Y'know, avoiding the swarms of crabs engaging in said deforestation.
But their path is pretty fucking clear just from the swaths of destroyed jungle.

Further evidence of where they went.

[Though this is kind of a pot-kettle situation given he's definitely had a habit of assuming he's the smartest person in any given situation and proceeding accordingly.]

can you tell how they died? bodies look beaten up?

Anyway, I haven't gone down to do any crab autopsies yet, but I can if you want to know that badly.

whether they look torn open, that kinda thing. patterns, tracks. aint expecting you to be a crab anatomist.
