There's a concrete bunker to the east of it. There's not really a lot of landmarks to work with. Or a map. Or a compass, as far as I know.

Oh yeah, one other thing, animals here are weird. There's at least one dinosaur, and okapi with glowing spots, and god only knows what else.

So, like. Do what you will with that.

Seems wrong to say "don't freak out if you see a dinosaur".

[ It goes unheard, but she laughs aloud at the thought of a dinosaur. That sounds so fake. So does an okapi, but mostly because she's never heard the word before.

(It's too bad Carl isn't here. She bets he'd love a dinosaur.) ]

What about walkers?

[ It's just a sound to her. They could be called blippetyzips, and it'd sound about as silly. ]

[ She can't exactly look it up, but it sounds right. ]

Corpses brought back to life? Is that what you mean?

No, no zombies, or walkers, that I know of.

Have you heard of the idea of alternate universes?

That's kind of what we're dealing with here.

I mean, for one thing, there was no zombie apocalypse in my world. And yours can't happen to it, because "zombie" is a very common word and a popular monster for the horror genre.
