Proceed with extra caution in hostile areas. I got pretty close to the cabin in the valley a couple days ago, and I still feel like I'm coming out from under a bad drug trip.
[And she sure sounds like it, too! Though she sounds better than she had yesterday, holy crap. She's tired now, but no longer actively reeling.]
The memories are kinda fuzzy, and it's hard to tell what was hallucinated and what wasn't, so, uh-- my intel's contaminated, I get that. But Cohle's seen it, I've seen it. The person who lives there, it's a weird lizard thing. Tall, scaled, reddish-brown. Wears clothes made out of pelts, but no shoes. Big fangs. Not bulky, but strong enough to hoist up a grown man. Moves fast.
[She pauses, on the cusp of saying more, but--]
Anything else I've got is speculation.
