[Saying it like that just reminds Dirk of Roxy and the times she'd pester him about what it'd be like if they had kids. It's a bittersweet thought – he loves Roxy and misses her, but her constant blatant "hints" that she loved him in a very different way only ever made him feel guilt and self-loathing.

Ironically, they ended up having kids anyway, sorta. And they're every bit as fucked up as Dirk predicted they'd be, but he admittedly loves Dave more than he has any right to.]

It's not the kind of thought I entertained often.
Never had any particular desire to inflict my genes and whatever bullshit comes with them on a kid, and yet the machinations of paradox space saw fit that make that shit happen regardless.
I guess what I'm saying is you never know.
Who says you couldn't somehow have little baby Ks toddling around that'd be every bit as functionally immortal as you?
Maybe your girl could find a way to escape the shackles or mortality too.
