Nah but I bet Belize is lovely.

So long story long, getting a legit job after filling your resume with criminal clown for a few years is hard but I found this totally legit online ad looking for a counselor at a women's shelter in Metropolis run by Amazons so I sign up and it's all helping women and self-defense classes in togas and all that good stuff and I made a new friend and then we had to prove ourselves in arena combat and fight sea monsters in order to level up and visit the motherland of Themascara

But then when we got there it turned out to be a big ol scam because it was basically just cheerleading camp from hell and the Amazons weren't even the real Amazons they were just a bunch of fakes trying to take over and none of the real Amazons were even home except the Queen who was definitely the real queen because I asked her twice when my new bff Holly and I wandered off into a cave and found her cuz I got bored of getting yelled at by the not even Greek drill sergeant ladies. So then we helped her expose the truth and it was this whole thing and I didn't even get to see Wonder Woman there but I did meet Wonder Girl later on when we got thrown around the multiverse after but that's a longer and weirder story and doesn't really have to do with the time I accidentally joined a fake Amazonian cult.

Damn. I'm bad at these games. But I'm learning new things about you, so not a total bust. Do you wanna visit Belize? It's still habitable in your home universe, right?

[ Because it probably isn't in his. Maybe that could at least be a proper island vacation getaway, without having to worry about mutant dinosaurs potentially eating them or staying in dilapidated hangars or being sacrificed by the locals. ]

That's an incredible story. I'm sorry it was a scam, though, that must have been really disappointing. At least you got a new friend out of it. Is being a counsellor something you're still interested in doing in the future? Minus the culty stuff.

Probably at least twice as habitable as Gotham. I'm down for a visit.

And sure, it'd be nice to put my degree to real use. But it's not easy. Like I said, I'm not very employable after losing my license, becoming a criminal, and getting committed. Most jobs I end up with when trying to play nice are waitress gigs where I get paid under the table. I was able to pull off the therapist thing one other time but that involved a makeover, a lot of forgery, and not my proudest moments.

Funny you mention that. I was talking with Stephanie about our Gotham trip and future residence there and she was shocked we'd choose it. She's from Gotham, too. And that reminds me. How do you feel about Brooklyn? Would you want to live closer to your family, I mean?

Since I'll still be needing a fake identity in your homeworld, maybe you could go ahead and get a matching one, too? For employment purposes at least. It isn't as though your knowledge or credentials would be fake, even if the legal paperwork is. Just an idea.

I wouldn't mind visiting Coney Island again, but IDK if Bensonhurst would be ready for me to set up shop. It's usually a toss up if Ma opens the door for me and it'd be nice to see Pop get of the pokey right up until he tries to sell you for spare parts.

It'd take some extra doing with the credentials but the doing is doable. Might have a better chance of not getting caught of state. But I'm not cutting my hair super short this time and I'd have to come up with a punchy new alias. [It's a lot to think about, certainly.]

Maybe just a visit then? I'd love to see the place if you feel like playing my tour guide again, maybe meet your family if the stars align. Being sold for spare parts sounds like a potential bonding opportunity with your father. [ It doesn't, but he's willing to suffer such indignities for Harley's sake. He does want her family to like him, as impossible as that might prove to be. ]

You with really short hair... kinda picturing you as Tinker Bell now, I bet you pulled it off. And I'll go with you anywhere you want to try. I'm sure I could find some low-key line of work too wherever we end up. Or get some househusband practise.
