Zam is gone. I do not know what happened - she was here last night, but no one has seen her since. Some of her items remain here, but her call sign has disappeared.
[ After quickly reading through the replies, K's at a loss. Zam's just... gone? Without a trace? It doesn't make sense. And of course this would happen when he's stranded halfway across the island, and unable to maintain his nightly watches at the airfield — the combined guilt and worry weigh heavily on him. It isn't hard to imagine how Randvi must be feeling, knowing how personally she also takes the safety of those staying at the airfield.
Apparently others have vanished as well, and the details of their circumstances sound even less certain. ]
Had anything happened that may have upset her the night she vanished?
It hasn't been easy with everyone confined together for days like this, but I can't recall anything bad enough to cause her to wander barefoot into this storm in the middle of the night.
She can be impulsive but I don't think she'd be that foolish if she had any choice in the matter. The details don't add up either. Maybe she was returned to her home universe by some means? We'll keep an eye out for her on our return trip. The storm can't last forever.
Had she wandered off like others suggest, I don't see why that would make her callsign disappear. It didn't when people died.
If we can get dropped into this place just like that, [ he snaps but of course that doesn't get picked up by text, ] we should consider the possibility that the same force can pluck us back out whenever it chooses to.
We can keep an eye out for her on our way back, once we get moving again. She couldn't have gotten far in the storm. Maybe she's holed up somewhere nearby.
[Her head is SCREAMING "SLEEPWALKING" but she doesn't dare put that word out in public herself.]
The important thing is to remain calm. Once the storm passes, we can get a better idea of how many people are missing or hurt, and how many people can be sent out for them.
[ Obviously he's been reading all of this, but he knew about Zam's disappearance. ]
I think shark guy is right. If we can just get dropped here then it's ten billion percent likely we can get taken away again. I don't like it. Maybe there's a way to prevent it, but we have to know what the thing is that brings us here in the first place.
[ Also WHY DID YOU GO OUT IN THE STORM RANDVI but he's not going to put her on blast about that on this post while she's still upset. ]
I didn't say I thought she went home safe. I said whatever brought us here could theoretically take us away again. There's not a way to know until I figure out what is doing that and how it works, though if someone's already gone I don't know if there's a way to check up on them. Maybe the Glencolans or whoever has a list of people who have been here and where/when we come from.
This mystery gets more mysterious all the time.
[ He's Senku, so of course he finds that exciting, but he's also aware real people are being affected by this stuff. ]

I know this is alarming. Shit, I'd be losing my shit too.
Would you like to switch to voice or is text easier for you?

[She was just nearly struck by lightning, her voice is shaking too much for audio]
She can't have died. She was getting better.

I tried to find her, but the storm has destroyed any tracks she may have left and lightning struck the field.

Beyond any of our control. Don't blame yourself.
[ Because he figures Randvi could stand to hear that right about now. And he means it, even if he's having trouble taking his own advice. ]
You went out in this storm. Are you all right? There's more than just rain falling.

Mere speculation, of course.

[She’d noticed Shaw’s missing but hasn't one hundred percent confirmed she was dead then]
I suppose you're right, though. We don't know how the magic works.

We will see. How is your group faring in this? With the lightning I've been worried.
