We found a cat. Black fur, violet eyes. Well-cared for. Weirdly intelligent... maybe even trained if that's possible... [She still can't believe it led them to water like some sort of bitey little service animal.]
Is anyone missing a pet?
[And once she's taken a few steps away from where Chloe can effectively hobble after her to intervene, she strategically drops a more pressing concern.]
We also have someone with leg injuries. We did the best we could but we'll need something to boil water in and fresh bandages soon. If someone with more supplies or experience can lend a hand, we can give you our location or try to meet you halfway. It's not easy to move right now.
Watch out for bear-traps.

[ Steph's brain is working in overdrive, and she's talking half to herself. The words come out in a rush. She's considering how to get a needle and thread sterilized for this. But it's okay if that waits, it'll just heal kind of ugly. ]
You probably know to look for muscle convulsions, but also watch for headache, fever, sweating... oh, trouble swallowing, and if her heart seems like it's racing.
Missing teeth might've saved the bones... Keep an eye on any swelling, if it seems to cover more area than it should, or if it refuses to go down. You probably know to keep it elevated... See if she can still move her toes, and her foot. No way to get ice... Do you know what it looks like when a wound gets infected?

[ She doesn't even know who it is, but she is Very Concerned about this person. ]
Keep her as hydrated as you can, and call me if anything changes. Day, night, doesn't matter. I'll be helping as much as I can from here.
