While I did anticipate finding myself in a brave new world upon stepping through that door, this isn't exactly what I was expecting.
Nor is this the company I was expecting to have.
I've been hearing a whole lot of strangers' voices coming out of this ancient piece of shit, and a notable lack of any familiar ones.
I also find myself somehow bereft of a number of items and abilities I should have had, many of which would have been pretty handy in what seems like a deserted island situation.
The rational question to ask here would be "what the fuck".
But just from eavesdropping on a few of y'all's conversations, it doesn't seem like anyone actually has the answer to that question.
So I'll skip the useless panic and confusion and whatnot and instead just ask:
Who was poking me and ran off before I fully woke up?

You're the only person so far who has mentioned being able to travel to other worlds/timelines/universes on purpose. How does that work, exactly? I assume you can't just sidestep back out or you would, but if there's rules to it I want to know what they are. I don't see any other way to get everyone else home, since I'm pretty sure most, if not all, of us are from different universes.

Just gone.
Some of it is active use in that sense, and I can't really test it without another person, and wouldn't even then.
But there's a passive part too.
And I can't feel shit right now.

[And it's a good thing he got acquainted with this shit real fucking quick, because if he were being honest, the powers shit is pretty new to him anyway. Like, half a day at most, and that's being extremely generous. The last day from his perspective has been crazy busy. He feels like he's aged a couple of years in 24 hours.]

Technically this is the first whole ass universe I've experienced other than my original one, but I spent a solid chunk of time between universes recently.
Whether one counts paradox space as a separate universe in itself is pretty much just semantics, though.
Unfortunately, the process of getting from one to another is, to put it simply, convoluted, and requires the impending death of a universe as the first step.
And since this one is theoretically brand new, I don't imagine that'll happen anytime soon.
Sorry to disappoint.

Between universes? That's incredible. That sounds semantic but unfortunately I don't have practical experience with the multiverse as a thing. Or I didn't until coming here, and this wasn't on purpose. It also wasn't predicated with the destruction of my universe as far as I know.

I have to assume that's not the only way to travel between worlds, especially given everyone's different memories of what they were doing before coming here. So, a disappointment, but all scientific discoveries run into walls sometimes.

"Supernatural" and "alien" aren't mutually exclusive, in my experience.

There was a specific universe in mind, but the exact location we were supposed to end up in it was less clear.
I can't even say whether this is the right universe or if something went horribly wrong and I got ejected into an alternate one entirely.
Maybe the universe itself didn't like the taste of me and spat me back out.
